Hillel Harry Tarnopolsky

Hillel Tarnopolsky married Rachel in Russia. They and their four children immigrated to America in 1905. He has $100 dollars at the time of his arrival in America. The family settled in Philadelphia, where He changed his name to Harry Paul. Harry owned a number of fruit stands in the city. This involved picking-up the produce as early as 1 AM each morning.
Sarah died and Harry married Anna Kaplan, who had also been previously married and had three children from that marriage. Harry and Anna also had additional children. The family resided at 7724 Brewster Street in Philadelphia in 1920.
Harry was the father of Leon Paul and two other unidentified children. There are also references to Herbert, Evelyn and Margaret Greenfeld, with another reference to Anna Kaplan.
In 1920, Harry and his family lived on 7724 Brewster Street in Philadelphia. Also living with Harry at the time were his step-children, Herbert Greenfeld, Evelyn Greenfeld and Margaret Greenfeld. His wife's Anna maiden name was Kaplan.
